We are two brothers, David & André, two Copenhagen-based students, with a great passion for classic menswear. We find great inspiration in the Italian flamboyance alongside British dandyism, with traces of the sporty Ivy League style.
Our take on style combines elements from both the British and Italian classic menswear with our own modern, personal twist. Events like the annual Pitti Uomo is also a major source of inspiration. Furthermore, colors of the season come in play, when it comes our daily outfits.
Our blog is primarily focused on our selective journey through sartorialism and the lifestyle surrounding the gentlemen, posting articles with outfits, timepieces, shoes etc. we think are worth sharing. Hopefully, the Brothers Marfil will give you a pleasurable experience by witnessing classic menswear from our perspective.

”I Have Never Met A Strong Person With An Easy Past”
I have long been fascinated by some of the many quotes about life, love, music, fashion, travels & lifestyle. When I first came across the quote above, it caught my attention in a very special way – I felt as if it spoke to me like a piece of music that puts “sound” on one’s feelings.
Although you can not differ yourself completely from others, I have always had an urge to be different from “everyone else” – it is both a curse and a blessing. I have long tried to find the meaning of my own existence; who I am, what I want to do with life and what goals, dreams and ambitions I have. Dig deeper into why we are who we are and continuously become a better person and continue down the path the universe has set for you in life.
All people are different, but there are some – which I definitely think that’s who the quote implies to – who has a special energy around them. Those are people who have experienced something special, for better or worse, which is due to that journey that made them who they are today.
In certain ways, I am “one of those” from the quote. I come from India and have lived in an orphanage the first 6 years of my life, and then I was adopted by a family in Switzerland. With the same adoption family, I moved to Denmark after 7 years, to a country where I knew no one and was not familiar with the language. When I was 16 years old, I moved out from home and have since then been on my own feet, worked in order to have a place to live and food to eat, got me an education, have been given up for adoption, had over 10 jobs, been hospitalized several times, been traveling a lot, and despite the ups and especially downs, I stand here today as a stronger, better and wiser person.
I believe that everyone is put on earth for a reason. Mine is partly to inspire – and how, I have not quite figured that out yet, but whatever I end up with in life, I know that I am going to inspire many with my story. Everybody has a story and some wants to tell it to people they meet along the way through life. I as well would like to do this – in order to help others, for my own sake, in order to support and particularly to inspire others.
This blog is my world of experiences, life, sexuality, music, visions, travel, reviews, dreams, goals, ambitions, current topics in the world, fashion, creativity, thoughts, opinions and so much more.
Welcome to my world.
